We have completed our 2011 season and are in Costa Rica until April. We are working on new designs, next year's production and are hoping to kick off 2012 in Andover and Boston in May.

The native people of Costa Rica are referred to as Ticos and are among the friendliest people in the Americas. They are also a nation of artistic talent, living in an environment of incredible beauty.

While on vacation in Costa Rica, we were awestruck by unique Art Glass shapes. Sharing these and other Tico creations at home, Fred was inspired to develop a cooperative enterprise to bring a taste of Costa Rica to New England.

Costa Rica is rich in hardwood forests. An array of small home-based factories produce amazing puzzle boxes, bowls, jewelry boxes and vases from farm-grown hardwoods such as rosewood and iron wood.
After becoming "Amigos" with the artists, we were allowed to work and study with these talented craftsmen. Fred and his sons David and Michael are blessed to work side by side these artisans carrying on their ancestor's legacy.

Working both in New England and Costa Rica, we bring Tico Art to the US as well merging the two cultures by creating new designs, products and techniques.
